Aisha Jamila HINDS is an American actress who is best recognized for her performances on TV's 'The Shield' and 'True Blood'. Since her debut in 2003, Aisha Jamila Hinds has proven her versatility in acting through her stellar performances in TV shows like '9-1-1,' 'Detroit 18-7' and Under the Dome. As of 2005, she came under the spotlight first for her performance as Anna in the television show 'Assault on Precinct 13". But it was her portrayal of Fannie Lou (a women's activist for equality) in the biographical "All the Way" film that brought her to the attention of the public as an actress. Hind received praise for her performance as Harriet Tubman in WGN America's"Underground," a period drama.
